Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at wsadmin@copticcz.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. Orthodox priests lovingly offer the Holy Eucharist (a sacrament in which the bread and wine become the true Body and Blood of Jesus Christ) to baptized members of the Coptic Orthodox Church who have prepared through recent confession and fasting.

The Holy Liturgy is celebrated in Coptic, Arabic, Czech, and English, though it is conducted mainly in Coptic and Arabic.

For the exact location, please refer to the map in the “Contact Us” section. The Holy Liturgy is held on either Saturday or Sunday. The priest will inform the Coptic community of the specific date and time. Newcomers are kindly asked to reach out via the online message form or by emailing the Church directly.

The Coptic Orthodox Church does not own a church facility in Prague or anywhere in the Czech Republic. We currently rent a hall from the Catholic Church, where we conduct our Holy Liturgy services twice per month.
